Joanna is a British film actress, professional fashion model, screenwriter, and top stylist in New York City.
She began styling with her own outfits for characters in independent films, as well as becoming creative director on photoshoots after she began modelling in the fashion world.
Joanna worked under the direction of Diane Von Furstenberg at the headquarter studio in The Meatpacking district while starting out as an artist in New york City. In her time at the company she became the number one top stylist across U.S. from 2015 to 2017. She worked with both creative director Pablo Riva and British designer Jonathan Saunders. Her performance was flagged by The Luxury Institute, U.S.
Joanna styled major events hands on with Diane, including Harpers Bazaar, New York Fashion Week, New York Women's Foundation, Women on Wall Street, Business Chicks, to name but a few.
Her VIP clients range from major Hollywood movie stars, TV series (Gotham), and events such as Ascot, The Tony Awards, to meeting the Prime Minister of Canada and his wife. Many of her clients have appeared in style photoshoots including Vogue and features focusing on women in power.
She styles freelance and is respected with most of the well known major designers, as well as cult, cutting edge, designers, and small boutiques worldwide.
In 2013, Joanna was featured as "one of the most stylish women" in an international Swedish magazine, and in 2016 was interviewed in New York Fashion Weekly, U.S.A for style advice and tips as "a fashion influencer."
Joanna designed and styled avant-garde costumes for her own portrayal as the character of Baroness Elsa Von Freytag Loringhoven - a futuristic dada artist and friend of Marcel Duchamp. The film screened as a part a collective visual art presentation at The Whitney Museum, New York in 2012.
She stated, in a 2016 interview that her styling expertise is working closely with every day fashion style, or for that special event, for the hard working, fun loving, woman, from mothers to daughters, all shapes and sizes - to "keep fashion and catwalk trends real on the streets"
Joanna insists on styling herself for her own red carpet events for acting and publicity appearances.
Due to her dedication to provide consistent one to one quality sessions for her client's lifestyle, combined with her career performing/writing as an artist herself, Joanna finds it necessary to keep her client book limited. I work as a professional model also — but I find it refreshing to work the clothes for other women, too — women in all shapes and sizes, from 20 years to 80 years. It’s keeping it real on the streets, not just for the catwalk and the flaws of the fashion industry. I know how clothes work and feel, the importance of the expression and mood a piece gives to an individual, and vice versa.
